The Kenneth W. Davis, Jr. Endowed Lectureship at TCU will host a Ford Motor Company executive as the series’ inaugural speaker at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22 at the Dee J. Kelly Alumni Center, 2820 Stadium Drive. The event is free and open to the public.

Jon Coleman, Ford Sustainability & Technology Manager, will discuss “Sustainable Transportation Solutions for America” highlighting Ford’s commitment to innovation by offering a compressed natural gas-capable F-150.

The Davis Lectureship was created with a generous endowment given to the TCU Energy Institute by Kenneth W. Davis, Jr. This speaker series intends to bring distinguished speakers with expertise in energy-related fields to promote knowledge about the energy industry, energy management, cutting-edge energy technology and other energy-related subject matter to the TCU campus. With the gift Davis has provided the opportunity for unique learning experiences and supports the University’s priorities to teach, develop and promote dialogue by engaging formal and informal exchanges with students, faculty and the community.

“Having Ford and Jon Coleman come to the TCU campus as our first speaker in the Davis Speaker Series, provides an exciting opportunity for us to conduct critical discussions about domestic and foreign energy-related issues that are essential to the energy industry’s future,” said Ken Morgan, director of the TCU Energy Institute.
