Annual Chamber Music Roundup on campus May 13-18

The 2013 Chamber Music Roundup in Fort Worth, which attracts amateur musicians of all levels, is set for May 13-18 in the School of Music facilities at TCU.

The Roundup provides an opportunity for amateurs to play with top professionals who also serve as faculty for the daily workshops. Participants also enjoy working in chamber music groups with other music lovers and learning great compositions written for small ensembles. This year’s faculty/guest artists are Katie Wolfe (violin), Danaila Hristova Blair (conductor), Gloria Lin (piano), Jennifer Dalmas (violin), Michael Murray (cello), Martin Blessinger (music theory) and Jenifer Hund (music history) and Misha Galaganov (viola) who also is director of the annual event.

Two public concerts are scheduled. The faculty recital will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 17 in PepsiCo Recital Hall. Admission is $15/$5 for students and seniors. A free participants performance will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 18 in PepsiCo Recital Hall.
