Megan Carley--Education Deans of Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas Preservice Educator of the Year Award (EDICUT)
Megan Carley is a senior Secondary English/Language Arts Education major from Fort Worth, Texas. She is a member of the John V. Roach Honors College and a Senior Mentor for the College of Education.

Rebecca Starkey-- Heather Lee Graham and James R. Graham Endowed Scholarship
Rebecca Starkey, from Dallas, Texas, is a Middle School English and Language Arts major. She is also a mentor for middle school students at Fortress Youth Development Center.

 

Rachel Chambers-- Heather Lee Graham and James R. Graham Endowed Scholarship
Rachel Chambers, from Houston, Texas, is an Early Childhood Education major with an ESL emphasis. Ultimately, her goal is to return to graduate school and get a masters in counseling.

Courtney J. Kinson—Dr. Henry J. Patterson Endowed Scholarship
Courtney Kinson, from Saginaw, Texas, is an early childhood education major with a focus in special education. She hopes to earn her Master’s Degree in Special Education, work in an inclusion classroom, and one day return to TCU teaching the littlest horned frogs at Kinderfrogs.

Beth Solomon--Heather Lee Graham and James R. Graham Endowed Scholarship
Beth Solomon, from Dallas, TX, is an Early Childhood Education major who hopes to return to Dallas and obtain a teaching job in the same elementary school she attended.

Diana Bermea--Jim and Tammy Hille Endowed Scholarship in Education
Diana Bermea, from Fort Worth, Texas, is majoring in Early Childhood Education with a focus on bilingual education. Diana is the mother of a 3-year-old son, a full time student, and works 27 hours a week. She hopes to be an elementary bilingual teacher.

Rachel Moss—Noel Bailey Scholarship
Rachel Moss, from Richardson, TX, is an early childhood major and child development minor. She is an active member in various organizations and spends most afternoons tutoring. She hopes one day to get her master’s in Library Science.

 

Elizabeth Quasebarth—Noel Baily Scholarship
Elizabeth Quasebarth is an early childhood education major from Irving, Texas, where she hopes to return one day to teach. She hopes to work with English language learners and children with special needs.

Rebecca Starkey, from Dallas, Texas, is a Middle School English and Language Arts major. She is also a mentor for middle school students at Fortress Youth Development Center.

Kelli Silvestri--Senior Scholars in Education (EC-6)
Kelly Sylvestri, from Colleyville, TX, is an EC-6 major with a focus on special education. Kelly has volunteered with Kinderfrogs school as well as with Harris Methodist Hospital. Upon graduating from TCU, Kelly plans to attend graduate school to further her development as a special educator.
