TCU Press receives award for oustanding merit/excellence in printing and publication

TCU Press has received the Will Rogers Medallion Award for Outstanding Merit/Excellence in Printing and Publication for its publication of Texas Tales Illustrated: The Revolution by author Mike Kearby and illustrator Mack White.

 

The Will Rogers Medallion Award honors those books that represent an outstanding achievement in the publishing of Western media. The books chosen exemplify a combination of excellent content, high production values, and respect for Western heritage. Outstanding books are the result of a collaborative effort between authors, publishers, and printers, and the award criterion emphasizes production values of high distinction.

 

The award will be presented during a luncheon at Riscky's Steak House on Exchange St. in the Fort Worth Stockyards as part of the National Day of the Cowboy Celebration on July 29th, starting at 12:30 pm. Dr. Dan Williams, Director of TCU Press, will accept the award on behalf of TCU Press. The featured speaker at the luncheon, Dr. Williams will be speak on the current state of university presses and academic publication.
