Rachel Gleitman was the College of Education’s nominee for the EDICUT Award. She is a senior 4-1 student from Austin, TX, majoring in the Elementary Education program with an emphasis in ESL. She is a member of TCU ambassadors, a Senior Mentor for the College of Education, a member of Gamma Sigma Alpha Greek Honors Society, Alpha Delta Pi, Order of Omega Honors Society, President of Kappa Delta Pi Education Honors society and a loud and proud Horned Frog fan.

 

Caitlan Davis was nominated from the College of Education as the senior scholar for EC-6. She is from Granbury, Texas, where she directs the K-5 children’s choir for the First United Methodist Church. She has been in TCU’s Concert Chorale for 3 years, is a Senior Mentor for the College of Education, and is in the Honors Program. Her senior Honors Project incorporates music into the general education classroom by using it to teach such things as tone in books and fractions in math. Outside of school, she does community theatre in Cleburne, Texas.

 

Colby Mouw was nominated as the middle-secondary senior scholar. She is a middle school math major from Tulare, California, a small town in the Central Valley. She states, “Coming to Texas to go to TCU is the best decision I have ever made.” Colby is involved in many organizations, including Frog Camp, Connections, and the executive board of my sorority (Kappa Alpha Theta). She is completing her honors thesis project on motivation in middle school math.
