Click to enlargeAs part of an ongoing initiative to improve Berry Street, the Fort Worth City Council has voted to close the intersection at the corner of Berry Street and University Drive temporarily. Construction on the intersection will begin Sunday, June 10, 2012 and the intersection will remain closed until early August. During the next 5-8 weeks, traffic will be re-routed to avoid the intersection.

TCU has been a longtime supporter of the city's vision to improve Berry Street. While the TCU community will be impacted by the closure, we support the city's decision to move forward with the work during this time frame because it is safer to accomplish the work during the summer, when student, employee and visitor traffic to TCU is significantly less dense.
