PianoTexas offers three weeks of classical music, beginning June 7

The 2012 PianoTexas International Academy & Festival will unfold on campus June 7, featuring performances by world-recognized pianists along with concerts by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of FWSO conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya and the legendary Leon Fleisher.
 
This marks the 31st anniversary of this signature musical event, founded by TCU piano professor Tamás Ungar.  The focus of this year’s Distinguished Artist Series will be the music of Franz Schubert.
 
Guests artists arriving to perform solo concerts (while also serving as faculty in daily sessions with aspiring young professionals) include: Yeul Eum Son, Malcolm Bilson, Inon Barnatan, Simone Pedroni, Paul Badura-Skoda, Akiko Ebi, Leon Fleisher and Kathleen Jacobson Fleisher.
