Jonathan Oliver has joined TCU as an assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology. Oliver is a Texas native, and earned his master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Texas in Austin and Texas A&M University, respectively. Oliver completed postdoctoral training with the University of Pittsburgh, where he worked on enhancing performance in military personnel. His primary research focuses on the manipulation of training variables to alter muscle mechanics and the resultant physiological adaptations following training. Oliver has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications, abstracts and book chapters. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist who has experience with athletes in various levels of competition.
Miriam Marshall
Miriam Marshall has joined Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences as an instructor in the Learning Center & Simulation Lab. Marshall attended nursing school in Mobile, Ala., and recently obtained her MSN from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Marshall has spent most of her career working in Dallas/Fort Worth and has more than 32 years of clinical experience in perioperative services, labor and delivery and pediatrics. Prior to TCU, she worked in Pediatric Pain Management and Post Anesthesia Care.
Barbara Ritzert
Barbara Ritzert has joined Harris College as an assistant professor. Ritzert earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas Woman’s University as well as a master’s degree in religious education from Loyola University. After completing these degrees, she obtained her doctorate from Texas Woman’s University in health sciences. Prior to TCU, she worked as an advanced registered nurse practitioner and litigation consultant. Ritzert also has served as full-time faculty at Texas Woman’s University and Baylor University, and as adjunct faculty for Texas Tech University.
