Tickets go on sale Feb. 18 for Theatre TCU’s production of the Pulitzer Prize winning play How I Learned to Drive by Paula Vogel. It opens Tuesday, Feb. 26 and runs through Sunday, March 3 in the Hays Theatre in Walsh Performing Arts Center, 2800 S. University Drive.

The subject matter is survival as seen through Li’l Bit’s memories of sexual abuse she experienced at the hands of her aunt’s husband during her driving lessons. These lessons become more than just about the car, but about life, manipulation, control and ultimately, forgiveness.

This production is directed by Krista Scott, and features Brice Barnard, Alex Bush, Shae Lynn Goldston, Storey Hinojosa, and Kelsey Summers. The show’s production team includes TCU students: Christina Chester (scenic designer), Adrienne Johnson (costume designer), Matthew Benton Wofford (lighting designer), Dylan Lovett (sound designer), and Claire Carden (stage manager).

Tickets are $10 for the public and $5 for TCU students and faculty/staff. Student tickets (for students from other schools) and senior citizen tickets (for those 60 and older) are also available for $5. Call the box office at 817-257-8080 to make reservations.

This show contains strong sexual content and is not appropriate for children.
