Zinsou is in her second year of service with the Advising Corps and serves at Polytechnic High School in Ft. Worth. She is simultaneously pursuing a Master’s of Education in Administration at TCU with an expected graduation date of fall 2013.

As one of 334 advisers with the National College Advising Corps program across the country, Zinsou was selected to represent the Corps at the event. “Paige is an exceptional adviser. In her first year, Paige helped to increase the ApplyTexas applicant rates by 8 percent and FAFSA submissions rates by 4.1 percent over the previous year. Paige is a hardworking, dedicated and resourceful adviser who has helped hundreds of students realize their college dreams. I couldn’t be more proud of her success,” said Matt Burckhalter, Program Coordinator for the TCU Chapter of AdviseTX/Texas College Advising Corps, of Zinsou’s selection.

“I am excited to visit the White House with Paige,” said Nicole Hurd, Ph.D., founder and executive director of the National College Advising Corps, prior to the event. “Her enthusiasm and dedication to this program as well as her commitment to service and to helping more students in Texas get to college are inspiring.”

The Texas Christian University chapter, part of the statewide AdviseTX/Texas College Advising Corps program, has 24 advisers and serves high schools in Arlington, Haltom City, White Settlement, Dallas, Fort Worth, Irving, Lake Worth, Longview, and Tyler. Throughout Texas, 120 advisers serve with the AdviseTX/Advising Corps program.
