The COE Homecoming Parade Watch event was a huge hit this year. Approximately 100 College of Education alumni, friends, faculty/staff and families gathered to watch the Homecoming Parade on Friday evening October 19 at the Bailey-Palko building patio area. The corner location of the COE building at University and Bellaire proved to be the perfect parade perch for fans to view and wave to parade participants along the parade route on Bellaire. This new alumni reunion event allowed for tailgate food, fun, and fellowship. There were plenty of purple football beads for all TCU fans, as well as purple foam footballs, King Korn purple popcorn mix and pompoms. TCU students assisted with games held on the grassy area near the building and face-painting on the patio for children who attended the event. The positive response will result in a repeat performance in future years. We have started a new COE tradition! If you missed it, make plans to attend next year.
