Dr. Lacina is the associate dean of the college’s graduate studies program and is an associate professor of literacy. She studies the teaching of reading and writing instruction and how mainstream and ESL teachers collaborate to meet the academic needs of English language learners (ELLs). Dr. Lacina is the author of more than 100 publications, including 3 books, refereed articles, book chapters, research reviews, and columns.
