As West Nile Virus is increasingly becoming a problem in North Texas, TCU is preparing to manage the threat.

The University is following the lead of the City and the Tarrant County Public Health Department. The Brown-Lupton Health Center maintains weekly dialog with Tarrant County Public Health to identify issues or cases on or near campus. No cases have been reported on campus to date.

By using posters and informational meetings in residence halls, TCU is informing students on how to protect against the disease by encouraging them to stay indoors at dusk/dawn, dress in long sleeves and pants when outside, use repellent that contains 20 percent DEET, and drain any standing water.
