The Center for Texas Studies announces 2007 Community History Workshop schedule

The Center for Texas Studies at TCU and the Fort Worth Public Library partner annually to host free public workshops focused on the community and history. All workshops are held in the Tandy Lecture Hall at the Fort Worth Central Library from 10:30 a.m. – noon.The events are free and open to the public and do not require a reservation. To make arrangements for sign-language interpretation, call 817-871-READ or 817-871-8926 at least 48 hours in advance.
September 8 – “Reflecciones de Fort Worth” – Delsa Perez, historian/photographer of
hispanic histories
October 6 – “The Art and Science of Photographic Preservation” – Mark Angel,
photographic preservation society
November 3 – “Preserving your Treasure” – Bill Cheek, CASETA; George Palmer,
founder of Texas Art Collectors Association; and Helen Houp, Helen Houp Fine Art Conservation, Inc.
December 1 – “Mi Familia in Fort Worth” – Shirley Apley, Fort Worth Public Library
