3/29/2006
Around 2 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, the TCU Barnes and Noble bookstore, which was undergoing renovation, caught fire. The fire was extinguished by 4:30 a.m.
All store merchandise had been removed from the facility in early February to allow for the renovation of the store, scheduled for completion in August. As of now, damage estimates to the facility are unknown and the cause is undetermined. The temporary bookstore, which opened in late February, is located in modular trailers to the south of the previous bookstore.
