Ronald C. White, a man on intimate terms with the life and times of President Abraham Lincoln, brings that expertise to the TCU campus at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27 for a free lecture that local history buffs won’t want to miss.
The topic is Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address, which White characterizes as his “Sermon on the Mount.” Sponsored by the TCU Dept. of Religion, the event will be held in the University’s Brown-Lupton University Union Auditorium, 2901 Stadium Drive.

White is the author of three bestsellers on Lincoln and is currently working on a book about Ulysses S. Grant, due out in 2015. He received his Ph.D. degree from Princeton University and has lectured on Lincoln for hundreds of universities and organizations, including at Gettysburg and the White House. He is a Fellow at the Huntington Library and a Visiting Professor of History at UCLA.
