Adam Benjamin Fung, newest faculty member in the School of Art will have an exhibition of his latest work Oct. 14-31 in Moudy Gallery. “Volumes, Voids and Vectors” represents a shift from a methodical process of rendering the cosmos into a painted surface, to seeking and searching to describe the volumes of the universe through layers.
An opening reception is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. today, Monday, Oct. 14.
Fung received his MFA from University of Notre Dame and BFA from Western Washington University. Before arriving at TCU, Adam maintained a studio in Chicago where he exhibited with Zolla/Lieberman Gallery and taught studio art classes in a variety of settings.
His paintings can be found in public art collections at Microsoft, South Bend Museum of Art, and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Fermilab as well as numerous private collections. Adam works primarily as a painter and has a dynamic range of research interests that touch upon issues such as climate change, landscape, energy and the make up of the universe.
