Schieffer School of Journalism and CSIS to host panel discussion:
“China’s Leadership Transition and Looking Ahead at U.S. – China Relations”


WASHINGTON, Nov. 28, 2012 – TCU’s Schieffer School of Journalism and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C., will hold a panel discussion titled “China’s Leadership Transition and Looking Ahead at U.S. – China Relations,” 5:30-6:30 p.m. EST Tuesday, Dec. 4. The discussion, hosted by Bob Schieffer, moderator of CBS News’ Face the Nation and TCU alumnus, will be broadcast live on the Schieffer School website at 4:30 p.m. CST Dec. 4.

Members of the panel include The Honorable Kurt Campbell, assistant secretary of state for East Asia and the Pacific; Richard McGregor, Washington bureau chief, Financial Times, author of The Party: The Secret World of China’s Communist Rulers; and Christopher K. Johnson, senior adviser and Freeman Chair in China Studies, Center for Strategic & International Studies.

The series of monthly dialogues in public policy and the media feature top public policy experts, government officials, leading think-tank scholars and prominent journalists discussing issues related to national security, foreign policy and global challenges.
