The MBA program (www.mba.tcu.edu) at the Neeley School of Business at TCU is one of the best in the world according to The Economist magazine. In the publication’s 2012 ranking of international MBA programs, the TCU MBA program is ranked No. 71 in the world, making it 40th among the U.S. MBA programs ranked.
This is the first time that the Neeley School has been surveyed in The Economist’s prestigious MBA world ranking, which began in 2002. The only other Texas MBA programs ranked are: UT Austin/McCombs at No. 28, Rice/Jones at No. 39 and SMU/Cox at No. 82. Chicago/Booth’s MBA program is ranked No. 1.
“The Neeley School’s mission is to develop ethical leaders with a global perspective who help shape the business environment. Note the key word: global. This recognition by the Economist as one of the best MBA programs in the world shows that we are, truly, a globally respected business school,” O. Homer Erekson, John V. Roach Dean of the Neeley School of Business at TCU, said.
To qualify for The Economist’s annual ranking of top 100 international MBA programs, the TCU MBA program was surveyed on criteria such as faculty quality, student quality, jobs found through career services, salary increases for graduates, depth of alumni network and more, which account for 80 percent of the overall ranking. Survey responses from students and recent graduates account for 20 percent of the ranking.
“Being included and ranked so highly our first time in this international MBA ranking demonstrates the breadth and depth of the TCU MBA program and shows the impact our faculty, students and graduates have around the world,” Bill Cron, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs, said.
