Neeley Supply Chain Management ranked #19 in nation

In a recent supply chain management study by Gartner Supply Chain Leaders, a survey of how leading universities are educating students to be next-generation leaders skilled at synchronization across functions, the Neeley School of Business at TCU Supply Chain Management undergraduate program tied for 19.

 

By being recognized as one of the best supply chain management programs in the country, the Neeley School of Business showed its “perceived value by industry combined with program scope relative to other programs,” according to the Gartner report Talent and High-Performing Supply Chains.

“This ranking affirms that TCU is committed to providing the forward-thinking skills and experience that supply chain leaders need to design and manage increasingly complex global supply chains, today and in the future,” said Dr. Morgan Swink, Executive Director of the Supply and Value Chain Center and Eunice and James L. West Chair of Supply Chain Management.

The ranking includes how well the TCU curriculum aligns with the 11 criteria in the Gartner Talent Attribute Model, which includes: broad understanding of supply chain concepts, analytics, ability to work in teams, problem solving, ability to integrate information, supply chain technology, balancing IT and business skills, real world experience, virtual or matrixes team management, global business leadership skills and risk management, for 40 percent of the ranking. Another 40 percent is based on recruit mentions and “best” mentions of 400 respondents. The final 20 percent is based on undergraduate internships, average starting salaries, number of full-time professors and number of supply chain professors, from 54 schools that responded.
