College of Education welcomes Michelle Bauml

Dr. Michelle Bauml joins College of Education faculty

Dr. Michelle Bauml joined the TCU faculty as an assistant professor of early childhood/social studies education in August 2010. Bauml’s research interests include new teacher development, curricular & instructional decision-making, and elementary social studies instruction.

“I am thrilled to be part of TCU’s College of Education where both teaching and research are highly valued, and where faculty and students work together toward excellence in education for all,” said Bauml.

Bauml graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, and earned her M.Ed. in educational administration from the University of St. Thomas. After working in Texas public schools for 13 years, she earned her Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction from The University of Texas at Austin where she also taught undergraduate courses and supervised student teachers.
