Rifle team scores again

The all-female, National Champion TCU Rifle team, decked out in spiffy TCU cowboy boots, got a shout out from President Barack Obama during a visit to the White House. Read the full story by Star-Telegram writer Maria Recio here.

The women — Erin Lorenzen, Sarah Scherer, Simone Riford Caitlyn Morrissey and Sarah Beard — were accompanied on the trip by their coach, Karen Monez, Athletics Director Chris Del Conte, Associate Athletics Director Ross Bailey and Chancellor Victor J. Boschini Jr., who said afterward that the best part of the trip was watching the women have such a thrilling experience.

“It was just so much fun watching the faces of our students,” Boschini said. “It was a really neat experience for all of us.
