Frost Foundation lecture series with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

The TCU Center for International Studies presented the Frost Foundation Lectureship for Global Issues on Feb. 24, 2010 at 6 p.m. in the ballroom of the Brown-Lupton University Union on campus. Visionary environmental business leader and advocate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. presented the keynote address.
 
Kennedy, who is credited with leading the fight to protect New York City’s water supply, holds numerous positions including chief prosecuting attorney for the Hudson Riverkeeper, senior attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council, president of Waterkeeper Alliance, and is partner in the clean tech work of Silicon Valley’s VantagePoint Ventures. He is also a clinical professor and supervising attorney at Pace University School of Law’s Environmental Litigation clinic.
 
Kennedy was named one of TIME magazine’s “Heroes for the Planet” for his achievement in helping Riverkeeper direct the fight to restore the Hudson River and in 2009, he was named one of Rolling Stone’s “100 Agents of Change.”
 
Kennedy is a graduate of Harvard University and received his law degree from the University of Virginia Law School. Upon graduation, Kennedy was awarded a master’s degree in environmental law from Pace University’s School of Law.
 
The Frost Foundation Lectureship series began in the mid-1990s and is made possible by a gift from the Frost Foundation. The Foundation, named in honor of Edwin Ambrose Frost and Virginia Chapelle Frost, is devoted to supporting educational, charitable and religious activities.
