Circle Theatre, 230 W. Fourth Street in Sundance Square, is teaming up with TCU to stage the acclaimed Steve Martin play Picasso at the Lapin Agile at the downtown venue. It opens with previews Thursday, Sept. 24, and Friday, Sept. 25, and will run through Oct. 24.Harry Parker, chair of the TCU Theatre Department, is directing the show which features TCU students and faculty, along with professional actors. Current TCU students and recent alums who are either in the cast or on the production team include Elizabeth Annunziato, Sydney Baumgart, EricDobbins, Daniel Fredrick, Andrew Milbourn, Scott Moffitt, Alyssa Wall and Jordan Andrews. TCU faculty and staff associated with the production are Jennifer Engler (cast member), Brian Clinnin (set designer) and LaLonnie Lehman (costume designer).
Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Saturday matinees at 3 p.m. Basic ticket prices are $20-$30 depending on days and times, with students and seniors receiving a $5 discount on any full-priced ticket.
University Night, set for Friday, Oct. 9, will offer $10 tickets to TCU faculty and staff and $5 for students. Call the box office at 817-877-3040 to make reservations.
