TCU kicked off the 2008 holiday season as usual this year by putting up a large Christmas tree on the front steps of Sadler Hall on Nov. 26. As a new addition this year, another, taller tree was also raised just outside the new Brown-Lupton University Union.Standing 33 feet tall, the blue spruce tree in front of Sadler Hall will be the tallest tree to grace the steps. This tree will be placed in the Brown-Lupton University Union Amphitheater on the Union Plaza. It will rest in a custom tree stand weighing more than 3,000 pounds.
The tree in front of the University Union, along with the exterior of the Union, was decorated Saturday, November 29. The tree in front of Sadler Hall was decorated Monday, December 1. The annual tree-lighting ceremony took place at Sadler Hall at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3.
