Schieffer School and CSIS held third dialogue

TCU's Schieffer School of Journalism and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) held the third in a series of monthly dialogues titled "Dialogues in Public Policy and the Media" Tuesday, April 29.The dialogue, which was hosted by Bob Schieffer, award-winning broadcast journalist, CBS Face the Nation moderator and 1959 TCU graduate, was broadcast live on the Schieffer School Web. The topic for discussion was “Fighting Terrorism in a Democratic Society.”
The first dialogue discussed the status of U.S. efforts in Afghanistan, and second discussed the future of the Iraq War. The dialogues, which will be held in Washington at CSIS headquarters, feature top public policy experts, government officials, leading think-tank scholars, and prominent journalists discussing issues related to national security, foreign policy and global challenges.
This month’s discussion hosted Jamie Gorelick, a partner with the law firm WilmerHale and former deputy attorney general of the United States; David Sanger, chief Washington and White House Correspondent for The New York Times and author of The Inheritance: The World America Now Faces, an examination of the Bush administration’s legacy; and Nina Totenberg, award-winning legal affairs correspondent with NPR (National Public Radio).
