Dale Young, director of College of Education's student teaching and career services, was recently awarded the Priscilla A. Scotlan Award for Distinguished Service at an AAEE Awards Luncheon.
“This award acknowledges what Dale Young has accomplished in the area of advancing the careers of teachers and other educational professionals,” said Dr. Sam Deitz, dean of the College of Education. “Because of his efforts with preparing our students for job fairs – which he organizes and conducts – and their subsequent interviews with school principals and school system administrators, all graduates of the TCU College of Education have been employed in the last decade.”
“We are very proud of our 100% employment rate and very proud of Dale Young for all he does to make sure we reach that goal,” concluded Dr. Deitz.
AAEE is the American Association for Employment in Education and the Priscilla A. Scotlan Award for Distinguished Service honors an AAEE member who has made significant contributions to their national association over a period of years. Dale has served on the board of directors for AAEE for several years, chaired a conference committee, and is a past president of the organization.
Dale has been at TCU for the past 21 years and earned both his Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education and Master of Science degree in school administration from TCU.
