Theatre TCU staging "Little Women," the Broadway musical
Fort Worth, TX
11/12/2007
For the first time ever seen in Fort Worth, the recent Broadway production of Little Women will be staged by Theatre TCU Nov. 27 - Dec. 2 in Buschman Theatre in Ed Landreth Hall. A 20-member cast, along with a live orchestra backstage, will recreate Louisa May Alcott’s well-loved tale of the March family of Massachusetts during the Civil War years. The show has a beautiful score, according to director Harry Parker, and was nominated for a Tony and Drama Desk Awards when it played Broadway in 2005.
Shows are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 27 - Dec. 2, with matinees at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 1 - 2. Tickets are $10 or $5 for non-TCU students and seniors (free with TCU ID); call the TCU box office at 817-257-5770 for reservations. (Since some events in the story may be too intense or upsetting for younger children, it is suggested that those under 12 not attend).
Cast includes Julian Arredondo, Diana Bloxom, Laura Campbell, Eric Dobbins, Jule Nelson-Duac, Rebekah Fear, Alyssa Gardner, John Haas, Babs Ipaye, Brooke LeBleu, Ryan Mulkey, Cameron Pool, Julia Pool, Justin Rapp, Rachel Rice, Melissa Terrill, Alex Valle and Alyssa Wall.
