Daily Skiff wins honors for Summer Orientation issue

The TCU Daily Skiff’s Summer 2006 Orientation has been recognized by the nation’s largest organization of business and advertising managers as the top orientation or back-to-school issue.
The orientation issue was named 2007 Best of Category for Back-To-School/Orientation Issues at the College Business and Advertising Managers national convention in Portland, Ore., March 27-April 1. Best of Category winners are considered the superior entries regardless of newspaper circulation.
The orientation issue, which is produced by the advertising and news staffs, is distributed by the university to incoming freshman and transfer students, The Summer 2006 orientation issue earlier won a second-place award for special sections or editions from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association.
The Daily Skiff advertising staffs also won second-place CNBAM national awards in the Best Sales Materials and Best Training Program categories for newspapers with weekly circulations of under 40,000.
