TCU defeats Northern Illinois in Poinsettia Bowl

The No. 25 Horned Frogs defeated the Northern Illnois Huskies 37-7 in the Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego Dec. 19.

San Diego Chargers LaDainian Tomlinson (TCU alum) and Michael Turner (Northern Illinois alum) both attended the game, which drew a crowd of almost 30,000. Turner and Tomlinson made a friendly bet on the game - which Tomlinson won as a result of the TCU victory. Now, Turner will have to wear Tomlinson's #5 TCU jersey around the Chargers' clubhouse.
