June Koelker named head of TCU library

Dr. June Koelker has been appointed to the position of dean of Mary Couts Burnett Library. She has served as interim dean for the past year.

She came to TCU in 1988, as associate director of the library, and has held numerous posts and responsibilities in the intervening years, including oversight of budget preparation, project management, system rollout, personnel training, as well as aspects of library administrative services, technical services and development of the Information Commons resources. Dr. Koelker has also been actively involved in service to the university, including participation in a number of focus groups, committees and task forces.

A 1972 graduate of the University of Delaware with a major in English, she received both a master of library science degree and an M.B.A. from the University of Arizona. In 2002, she was granted a Ph.D. degree in information science from the University of North Texas.
