Neeley hosts National Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization Conference this week

This weekend in downtown Fort Worth, more than 900 entrepreneurship college students and faculty will meet to share ideas and practices for the next generation of small business owners.
The 2011 National Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) Conference will be held Thursday through Saturday, October 27-29, at the Omni hotel in downtown Fort Worth. The annual conference usually is held in Chicago where CEO is based, but every five years they travel to another city/school and this year they chose to hold it in Fort Worth, home of TCU’s dynamic entrepreneurship program. TCU CEO is also the largest chapter in the world with more than 300 students from across TCU. TCU CEO will have 75 students attending the conference.
Highlights include the Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Gene Landrum of Chuck E. Cheese, an Elevator Pitch Competition, and the Global Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Student chapter development session will be held on Thursday. Friday, keynote speakers will discuss opportunities, ethics, exit strategies, technology, website development, partnerships, leadership, funding, creating businesses that change the world, and more. Friday night, attendees are being treated to the TCU vs. BYU game at Cowboys Stadium, including charter bus transportation and tickets, compliments of the TCU CEO club and the BYU CEO club.
Saturday’s speakers will cover competition, financial skills, common mistakes CEOs make, community service, branding, and sessions on entrepreneurship in music, real estate, technology and more. For a complete list of sessions and speakers, visit www.c-e-o.org.
