TCU’s Schieffer School of Journalism held its second annual Schieffer Symposium Wednesday, April 5 at 7 p.m. in TCU’s Brown-Lupton Student Center Ballroom. To listen to the Symposium, click here.
Featured panelists included Bob Schieffer, chief Washington correspondent for CBS News, interim CBS Evening News anchor and moderator of Face the Nation as well as 1959 TCU graduate and for whom the Schieffer School is named; Jill Abramson, managing editor of The New York Times; Larry Kramer, founder of Marketwatch.com and president of CBS Digital Media; Judy Woodruff, former anchor of CNN’s Inside Politics and correspondent for PBS’ The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer; and Len Downie, executive editor of The Washington Post.
The title for the symposium was “The Changing Communications Landscape” and the panelists discussed various factors affecting the ways in which news is distributed and received.
