TCU’s Schieffer School of Journalism held its sixth annual Schieffer Symposium on Wednesday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. in TCU’s Ed Landreth Auditorium. Bob Schieffer, CBS’ Face the Nation moderator, CBS News’ Chief Washington Correspondent, and 1959 TCU graduate hosted this year's Symposium, titled "A Gridlocked Congress and an Angry Public: What Now is the Role of the Media?"
Panelists included Ann Curry, co-anchor of Dateline NBC and news anchor of Today show; Maureen Dowd, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for The New York Times; Michael Eisner, former chairman of The Walt Disney Company and current CEO of The Tornante Company; and William Kristol, founder and editor of The Weekly Standard.
