"Floor Corner Wall: Selected Work from The Rachofsky Collection" in Dallas will be exhibited at the Fort Worth Contemporary Arts gallery, 2900 W. Berry Street, from Jan. 23 until Feb. 28. The opening reception is 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23.
Rachofsky is a top collector of contemporary art in the Southwest. The exhibition features work by artists who address the physical space of the gallery in architectural, psychological, or social terms. Included are sculptural works by Carl Andre, Mel Bochner, Tom Claassen, Tom Friedman, Jim Hodges, Siobahn Liddel, Mario Merz, Charles Ray, Richard Serra and Rachel Whiteread.
The show is curated by Thomas Feulmer and Christina Rees (director, The Galleries at TCU).
