Student found deceased in off-campus residence; police do not suspect foul-play

Tragically Monday night we learned that one of our students was found deceased in her off-campus residence. The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating the death and told University officials that nothing immediately indicates criminal assault or homicide. The department is conducting a thorough investigation, as they do with all unattended deaths, and will not release details of the investigation until it is complete. The name of the student is being withheld pending official identification by the Tarrant County medical examiner.

Counseling will be available for students through TCU's Counseling Center, Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, and Campus Life.

The University will keep the campus informed of details in this case as needed.
