Large Christmas tree to be raised at TCU; annual tree-lighting ceremony on campus

TCU will celebrate the holiday season with its annual Christmas tree raising and lighting ceremony outside the Brown-Lupton University Union.
On Monday, November 23, the tree will be placed in the Brown-Lupton University Union amphitheater on the Union Plaza. It will rest in a 3,000-pound custom tree stand. The tree will be transported using a large crane and will be lifted into place Monday morning at approximately 8:30 a.m. The 42-foot-tall blue spruce tree is nine feet taller than last year’s tree and the second-largest live tree in Fort Worth.
The tree-lighting ceremony will take place in the Campus Commons at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2.
