Frost Bank CEO Dick Evans to speak at TCU

Dick Evans, chairman and CEO of Cullen/Frost Bankers Inc. will be the featured speaker of the Tandy Executive Speaker Series Sept. 4 at TCU. The Tandy Executive Speaker Series is offered to Metroplex business professionals by the Neeley School of Business at TCU to develop and disseminate leading-edge thought in order to improve the practice of business.

Evans’ presentation will be Friday, Sept. 4, 7:30-9 a.m. at Brown-Lupton University Union, 3rd floor ballroom, 2901 Stadium Drive on the TCU campus. Tickets are $20 each, which includes breakfast. Online registration is required at www.tess.tcu.edu.

Evans joined Frost Bank’s training program in 1971 after serving as assistant national bank examiner with the Comptroller of the Currency. During his career at Frost, Evans has served as a commercial loan officer, a vice president in the bank’s commercial loan, credit and marketing areas, and then as senior vice president in the marketing division. In 1977, he was named executive vice president of the banking group and was elected president of Frost Bank in 1985. In 1993, Evans was elected chairman of the board of Frost Bank and chief banking officer of Cullen/Frost in 1995, and in 1997, chief executive officer. Evans is serving a two-year term as a member of the Federal Advisory Council to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C., and recently served a two-year term as a member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
