TCU School of Music’s second Cellofest celebrates “all things cello” next week with world-renowned guest artists in concerts, recitals, masterclasses, ensembles and more. Cellists, students, professionals and the music-loving public at large are invited to attend. Admission to daytime events is free.
Check the schedule of events at www.music.tcu.edu. Evening concerts and presentations are: $20 general admission, $15 seniors, $10 students, $5 Texas Cello Society members, free with TCU ID.
Jesús Castro-Balbi of TCU is artistic director. Performers include: Christopher Adkins (Dallas Symphony Orchestra), Andrés Díaz (SMU), Arkady Fomin (New Conservatory of Dallas), Anastasia Markina and Eugene Osadchy (UNT), Mu-La Na (Beijing Central Conservatory), Aldo Parisot and Elizabeth Parisot (Yale), Dennis Parker (LSU), Carlos Prieto (Mexico), Bion Tsang (UT/Austin), Germán Gutiérrez, Yuan Xiong Lu and Harold Martina (TCU).
Ensembles include New Conservatory of Dallas Chamber Orchestra, SMU Cello Ensemble, TCU Cello Ensemble and the TCU String Orchestra.
