Tibetan researcher Dr. Alejandro Chaoul speaks on campus

The Asian Studies program at TCU welcomes Dr. Alejandro Chaoul to present his research on Tibetan yogic practices and their migration to the Western medical clinic on Wed., Feb. 11 at 4 p.m. in the Brown-Lupton University Union.
Chaoul is involved in research using Tibetan mind-body techniques with cancer patients and facilitates meditation for cancer patients and their support systems at their place of wellness. His publications have focused on the role of mind-body practices in integrative cancer care and research, as well as Tibetan meditation and ritual practices within religious studies, humanities and the intersection of humanities and medicine. He is also the director of the Limincha Texas Institute for Tibetan meditative and healing arts.
