Brite Divinity School hosting annual Ministers Week Feb. 9-12

Brite Divinity School will present the annual Ministers Week Feb. 9-12, featuring lectures, sermons, workshops and worship services. Most events are held at University Christian Church.
Rev. Holly McKissick, senior pastor of Saint Andrew Christian Church in Olathe, KS, will deliver the Wells Sermons at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the UCC sanctuary. Dr. Stacey Floyd-Thomas, associate professor of ethics and society at Vanderbilt University Divinity School will present the Scott Lectures at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the UCC sanctuary.
Dr. Choon-Leong Seow, Henry Snyder Gehman Professor of Old Testament Language and Literature at Princeton Theological Seminary, will deliver the McFadin Lectures at 9 and 11 a.m. Wednesday in UCC Fellowship Hall.
A special panel discussion at 3 p.m. in Rm. 207 at UCC is titled "Pastoral Resources for Times of Economic Uncertainty." Panelists will represent Cook Children's Medical Center, Brite, The Pension Fund of the Christian Church, the Neeley School of Business at TCU and Texas Health Resources.
Final sessions are workshops at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Thursday in UCC Fellowship Hall, led by Dr. Gilbert Rendle, senior consultant with The Institute for Clergy and Congregational Excellence of The Texas Methodist Foundation in Austin.
