“Warhol and The Shared Subject” is the newest exhibition to be mounted at Fort Worth Contemporary Arts, 2900 W. Berry Street. The show will be up from Dec. 20 – Feb. 1 at TCU’s newest gallery. An opening reception will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19.
Displayed for the first time in Fort Worth are paintings and photographs by Andy Warhol, most part of a small portraiture collection given to the TCU Art & Art History Dept. in 2007 by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts in New York City. The images will be shown alongside contemporary work by Rineke Dijkstra, Douglas Gordon, CS Leigh and Tony Scherman.
