Business leaders headline 2008-2009 Tandy Executive Speaker Series

O. Homer Erekson, John V. Roach Dean of the Neeley School of Business at TCU, announced today the four outstanding business executives who will headline the 2008-2009 Tandy Executive Speaker Series. The Tandy Executive Speaker Series is offered to Metroplex business professionals by the Neeley School to develop and disseminate leading-edge thought in order to improve the practice of business.

Tuesday, December 16, 2008, will be a special session with two speakers. Cary Rayment, CEO of Alcon, and David Court, Director with McKinsey and Company in Dallas, will speak on the topic of why marketing executives make good chief executives. Mr. Rayment joined Alcon in 1989 as Vice President of Marketing for Surgical Products, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in October 2004. A much-requested speaker at major marketing conferences around the world, Mr. Court leads McKinsey’s marketing practices on a global basis. This event will take place at a special time and place: 7:30-9:30 am, in the new Brown Lupton University Union, 2901 Stadium Drive. Tickets are $20 each, which includes breakfast. The spring events will take place 7:30-9:00 a.m. at the Dee J. Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center, 2820 Stadium Drive. Those speakers include Matt Rose, CEO of BNSF Railway on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, and Karen Katz, CEO of Neiman Marcus on Thursday, April 16, 2009. Tickets are $20 each, which includes breakfast.
