"Faculty and Friends" Chamber Music Series event Nov. 17

The TCU School of Music "Faculty and Friends" Chamber Music Series is set for Monday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in PepsiCo Recital Hall. The program will feature two world premieres, according to Jesús Castro-Balbi, artistic director for the series.
The Rapture of the Year, composed and performed by Janet Pummill, will be premiered by Julie Pummill Dean, Sheri Neill, Douglas Pummill, Till MacIvor Meyn, Helen Blackburn, Stewart Williams, Gary Whitman, Alton Atkins and Charles Hall. Another premiere, titled Orion, was composed by Till MacIvor Meyn. It will be performed by Trio Con Brio, consisting of Misha Galaganov, Gary Whitman and John Owings.
Also on the program are "Duo" by Martin Blessinger and Auden Songs by Ned Rorem. Musicians include Joseph Eckert, Janet Pummill, San-ky Kim, Curt Thompson and Laura Ospina.
General admission is $10, $5 for seniors and students. Admission is free with a TCU ID.
