AddRan College changes its name, embraces new identity

Effective on the first day of the fall semester, AddRan College changed its name from AddRan College of Humanities & Social Sciences to AddRan College of Liberal Arts.  The college also developed new mission, vision and values statements.

“The new name, mission, vision, and values statements better reflect who we are and what we strive to accomplish,” said Dean Andy Schoolmaster.

The college completed a branding exercise in which it conducted focus groups to question samples of students, faculty, staff and alumni about AddRan’s strengths and distinctions.  From discussions about the college came the suggestion to change the name of the college to be more descriptive of what the college offers, as well as update the mission, vision and values statements.
