Nancy Nix honored For Outstanding Contribution to Logistics Education

Nancy Nix, director of the Supply & Value Chain Center at the Neeley School of Business at TCU, was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Logistics Education Award from the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.

The honor is given to the individual who has made outstanding contributions to logistics education in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Nix, associate professor of professional practice at the Neeley School, is recognized for helping make logistics education a reality in the Metroplex.

Her research has focused on supply chain collaboration, global integration, and the role of the third party logistics in a supply chain. Nix holds a BS in chemistry from Salisbury State University, an MBA from Temple University and a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee. She is an expert in global supply chain management, demand forecasting and planning, and customer service/service quality. Nix teaches Global Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain Strategy.

“I believe in the importance of developing future supply chain leaders with integrative skills and a global perspective,” said Nix. “This is particularly important to the North Texas economy and the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, which is recognized as a supply chain hub. It’s an honor to be recognized for the work that I do along with my colleagues in the Neeley School.”
